Minister of Transport Dipuo Peters says this year's Transport Month will focus on road infrastructure development in rural areas.

Peters said this during the launch of Transport Month at Tlhatlhaganyane village near Sun City in the North West.

This year’s theme is: “Together we move South Africa Forward’’.

She also officially opened the road between Matooster and Ruighoek, which links other villages to Pilanesberg and Rustenburg.

Peters says the road is an example of the type of infrastructure development needed to improve people's living conditions in rural areas.
