The Democratic Alliance has described the murder of AWB leader Eugene Terre'blanche as violent and racial polarization.
The party’s Melany Kuhn warned that the murder could have tragedy consequences.
“It is essential all leaders stand together now and call for calm,” she said.
Kuhn went on saying violence has never been a solution to this country’s enormous s challenges.
The DA says the people of this country must resist racial polarization and continue to build a non racial middle ground of people who want a peaceful and prosperous future for all.
It blames the controversial song which has opened a can of worms recently, “Kill the Boer”.
“The singing of a song created climate in which violence is seen as an appropriate response to problems,” Kuhn said.
69 year old Terre'blanche was murdered on his farm near Ventersdorp in North West yesterday.
His body was assaulted and hacked. Police have found what are believed to be murder weapons next to him.
Two of his employees are held responsible for the incident and they will appear in court on Tuesday.
