13 people rescued in Gordans Bay

The National Sea Rescue Institute in Gordons Bay responded to a rescue whereby thirteen people were onboard a fishing trawler when the engine room started leaking and the trawler started taking water.

NSRI Spokesperson Craig Lambinon said no one was injured during the ordeal. 

Lambinon said on arrival on scene all thirteen people were found safe on the trawler.

“Water was pumped out of the engine room as all thirteen were taken to safety for medical evaluation Lambinon added.
