The Democratic Alliance has called on President Jacob Zuma to return the Labour Relations Act Amendment Bill back to Parliament for reconsideration.

DA MP of Labour Ian Ollis said the President must not under-estimate the urgency of this matter.

The DA has described this Act as a job killing Act.

“We believe that the president must not under-estimate the urgency of the matter the lack of democratic processes and our labour relations framework were one of the major causes of the tensions in the Amcu and Num strike in the platinum sector and Marikana massacre,” Ollis added.

He also said the DA will push for the bill to come to Parliament and they will fight to introduce needed reforms into the labour regimes in South Africa.
