Two separate accidents leaves one dead and 19 injured

An accident this morning on the N3 South in Lions River left one person dead and fourteen others injured.  This is after a taxi rear-ended a truck. 

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Chris Botha said when we arrived on scene we found that the female passenger had died on impact and there were fourteen others that sustained injuries.

“They were all treated on scene and taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment Botha added.

Meanwhile in another accident on Pretoria Main Road in Austin Midrand late last night left five people injured after two vehicles collided into each other.

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Santi Steinmann said upon the arrival on scene they found that two motor vehicles had collided head on resulting in five people sustaining injuries ranging from moderate to critical.

“The injured patients were treated on scene and taken to a nearby hospital for further medical care Steinmann.

The exact details of the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation.
