Western Cape MEC of Transport and Public Donald Grant has called members of the public to buckle up in the back at all times.

This is part of a campaign to encourage people in motor vehicles to wear a seatbelt as it doubles your chance of surviving a crash.

Ministerial Spokesperson Siphesihle Dube said this campaign was inspired by one of our NGO partners who’s a South African against drunk driving who ran a similar campaign

Dube added that MEC Grant has encourage members of the public to join himself, as well as Premier Helen Zille and Mayor Patricia De Lille and other members of the cabinet. in doing so, in strapping on self up in the back, knowing if you are buckled up in the back seat, you chances of being seriously injured on a car crash or possible killed are severely diminished.
