The National Sea Rescue Institute in Hermanus rescued eleven men onboard a boat off-shore of Gansbaai.

NSRI Spokesperson Craig Lambinon said it is believed that the rubber duck they were on experienced motor failure and were being swept out to sea.

Lambinon said on arrival on scene following a short search all eleven men were found on the rubber duck.

“All eleven men were brought safely ashore and no one was injured” Lambinon added.
