Shackdwellers in Vygieskraal on Monday discovered a naked body of an unidentified woman.
Police Spokesperson Constable Zodwa Kedama
said the body was found in the Athlone canal with a rope around her neck.
Kedama said the circumstances surrounding the
incident are currently unknown.
"Police have opened a murder case and are
currently investigating”. Kedama added.
