Raised concern regarding violent protest action in Nyanga

The Public Transport Voice has raised its concern regarding violent protest action in Nyanga on Monday which left one person dead. 

PTV has called for calm and an initiation of workable solutions to all parties affected. 

The City of Cape Town said the violence by the taxi drivers was to make the city ungovernable. 

During the violence seven Golden Arrow buses were torched and bus drivers were attacked. 

PTV’s Zingisani Nkanjeni said PTV calls for calm and an initiation of workable solutions to all parties affected by the violence.

We send our condolences to families of the students who died because of taxi violence that is happening in Nyanga terminus and N2 Cape Town.
