The Congress of South African Trade Union in the North West has called for answers on the death of former Rustenburg Municipal councilor Moss Phakoe.

He was shot dead at his home in Rustenburg in 2009.

Cosatu Provincial Secretary Solly Phetoe said we are demanding a full explanation on the outcome of the case and what the next step will be in the investigation.

“Now that the people have been acquitted and the police did confirm that it was a wrong arrest. We demand answers of who killed Moss Phakoe.

We are very disappointed about the response of the state, the National Director of Prosecutions confirming that there was shortcoming from the side of the state.”  Phetoe added
