A 42-year-old teacher appeared
in the Plettenberg Bay Magistrate court today for sexually assaulting a Grade 2
learner from a local primary school in the area.
The case has been postponed
until the 2nd of July and the teacher will remain in custody until
his next court appearance.
Southern Cape Police Captain Malcolm Pojie said these facts came to light during a conversation between the guardian of the little one after he had some difficulties at home.
“He revealed this information
to her and after reported it to the police and, we opened a sexual assault case”
He also told us that these
acts took place during the month of May at two different places respectively at
a swimming pool in Plettenberg Bay and at school, Pojie added.
