The Congress of the People said, the harder that the 177 ANC MP’s, 34 Ministers, 37 Deputy Ministers and Deputy President try to make the Nkandla scandal go away, the more prominent and divisive an issue it will become.

COPE spokesperson Dennis Bloem said, President Zuma is shamelessly shaking the pillars of the constitutional democracy and threatening to bring it down.

He said, the abuse of authority by the ruling party will meet resistance inside and outside parliament.

Bloem said beefing up the security is not the answer and the speaker is trying to run away from the truth.

The truth is that the speaker and the president are to be blamed for the chaos that is happening in parliament.

That is why we are saying it is not the answer, it’s a political issue and it must be solved politically.

They can bring in as many security personnel as they wish but it won’t go away, Bloem added.
