One person killed and two others sustained injuries

One person was killed and two others sustained several injuries when a Golf GTI overturned several times this morning on Westinghouse and Playfair Boulevards.

ER24 spokesperson Werner Vermaak said the injured were stabilised on the scene and later transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

Vermaak said, paramedics from ER24 Vanderbijpark arrived on the scene where they found the vehicle lying on its roof approximately 70 meters into a residential property.

It is believed the vehicle overturned several times coming from the traffic circle and crashed through a residential wall.

Vermaak said, upon assessment, paramedics found a person trapped in the vehicle with fatal injuries.

Unfortunately, there was nothing that paramedics could do for him and he was declared dead on the scene.

The SAPS attended the incident. The exact cause of the incident is not yet known.
