A man in his 60s was killed this morning after a fire broke out in his Mohlakeng home in Lemeko Road in Randfontein.
ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said ER24 paramedics from the Johannesburg West branch arrived on scene and found that fire services had already extinguished most of the blaze on the small house.

Meiring added that once completely extinguished, paramedics and fire services searched the residence, and finally found the lifeless body of the man lying in the corner of his room.
“Unfortunately the man had already succumbed to his multiple burn injuries.” Meiring concluded.
The exact cause of the incident will remain a subject of a police investigation.
