NSRI and Police on the search for a missing 38-year-old man in East London

The National Sea Rescue Institute in East London is continuing to search for a missing 38-year-old man who went missing at sea after being swept out to sea on Sunday.

The man was fishing with his son in law when the two anglers hit a rock at Cove Rock.

NSRI Spokesperson Craig Lambinon said the NSRI East London Metro Emergency Services and police responded to the scene.

Lambinon added that, extensive search has been carried out for the search of a 38-year-old man who is missing.

“His son in law tried to rescue him, he was rescued by fellow anglers”

The police dive unit and the K9 unit are on the scene continuing with that search, Lambinon added.
