Police seek a man wanted for fraud

Montague Police are seeking the assistance of the public in tracing the suspect known as Johan Jansen or Johan Mentz who is wanted for a fraud case.

According to the information the suspect sold a car to a complainant in Montagu for R12 000.00 on 20 April 2015.

On the 27 April the suspect came back to allegedly repair different things on the car.

On the 28 April at about 10:00 am the suspect told the complainant that he must go to buy parts of the vehicle, he then left with the car and never returned.

Constable Noloyiso Rwexana said the suspect is a 32 year old man, 1.8 meters tall with brown eyes.

Rwexana added that anyone who has information that can lead to the arrest of Johan Jansen is requested to contact Detective Warrant Officer Inus van Huyssteen at 079 894 1784 or 023-6148300.
