The search for a 29-year-old man who went missing in Stillbaai on Sunday is continuing today.

National Sea Rescue institute Spokesperson Craig Lambinon said the man reportedly disappeared under water while swimming and is suspected to have been caught in rip currents.

Lambinon says on arrival on scene an extensive search operation was carried out for the 29-year-old man from Albertina.

“Despite the extensive search no sign of the man was found. The NSRI Stillbaai are assisting police again this morning with an on-going search operation to find the man. Police have opened a missing person investigation” Lambinon added.
