Two bodies of two boys retrieved from a wetland in Delft

Western Cape Emergency Services late last night retrieved two bodies of two boys aged 12 and 13-years-old from a wetland in Delft.

Provincial EMS Spokesperson Robert Daniels said EMS received a call for help around 4:30pm.

Daniels said but due to vegetation and the size of the searched area it took divers almost three hours to locate and retrieve the two bodies. 

The exact details to the cause of the incident are unknown at this stage however police are investigating.
