The Western Cape Department of Education has found accommodation for learners from Mfuleni. Last month learners who were not enrolled in a school were accommodated in a temporary school established in a tent.

Through decision with the WCED and the community of Mfuleni a solution to accommodate the learners at Bardale Primary School was made.

Meanwhile the WCED will be building a new Primary and High Scholl in the area.

Ministerial Spokesperson Jessica Shelver said on Saturday the Western Cape department of education had a registration drive at Bardale Primary School to look at the learner’s details and with this information on hand the Western Cape immediately sort to place these learners.

Shelver continues to say in the interim we are accommodating all Primary school learners at Bardale Primary school where intuition is taking place.

Shelver said: "We are glad we could resolve this matter as quickly and efficiently as possible and that intuition is taking place at an environment where congestive to teaching and learning."
