The National Education Health and Allied Workers Union in the Western Cape says it is fully behind its members in Parliament to withdraw their services.

Nehawu’s Provincial Secretary Luthando Nogcinisa said they have been engaging with management for over two years for them to consider the proposal that they have put on the table.

The members are demanding an annual bonus.

Nogcinisa said we think that institution of parliament is too important to be led in such a manner and to be dismissive workers’ demands.

Nogcinisa said we are not on strike but those workers who would normally be asked to work voluntary will not do so those will be asked to work overtime will also refuse.

“We have already received reports that our action has been affective Nogcinisa” added.
