SAPS gain momentum to deal with rhino poachers

The South African Police Service said it is gaining momentum in its efforts to deal with rhino poachers.

This is after two men were arrested at their place of residents where police found 416 calibre Hunting Rifle and a 458 silencer with no serial number.

Another suspect was arrested shortly after for suspected rhino poaching case.

SAPS Brigadier Vishnu Naidoo said we believe that we are making steady progress in terms of proactively curbing the surge of rhino poaching.

Naidoo added that we are still seeing a lot that still needs to needs to be done, we are now focusing a lot of our attention the key figures or the lead figures in this underworld.

“With the support of our police chiefs on the southern African police region, we know that we can make great headway, as this is part of the priorities on the agenda of the South region.” Naidoo added.
