Two people dead after accident on the N1 in Worcester

An accident this morning on the N1 in Worcester has left two people dead and two others injured.

Provincial Emergency Services Spokesperson Robert Daniels said a car and a truck was involved in a head-on collision, leaving a male and female dead and two others seriously injured.

Daniels said the critically injured female was transferred to Tygerberg hospital and the surviving male rushed to Worcester Hospital in a stable condition.

The exact details to the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation.
