Cosatu in the NW calls on Aurora to pay workers

The Congress of South African Trade Unions in the North West has called on Aurora Empowerment Systems to pay workers their money before the end of March 2015.

This comes after Gauteng High Court ruled in October 2014 that the directors must pay workers the outstanding money.

Cosatu Provincial Secretary Solly Phetoe said the directors ignore the ruling on the basis that they have the economic power to appeal the case.

Phetoe said we are advising them to pay the workers what is due to them or else we have no option as we have already started to mobilise workers in relation to this matter.

“We are appealing to the Gauteng  high court in Pretoria come the end of March 2015 we want this case to be concluded as workers are suffering” Phetoe added.
