Tragic accident leaves ten people dead

A tragic accident early this morning on the N3 close to London Road in Johannesburg left ten people dead and eleven injured.

It is believed that 21 passengers were travelling in a bakkie and it lost control and rolled. 

ER24 Spokesperson Pieter Rossouw said amongst the injuries, eight people sustained moderate to minor injuries and there were also three critical patients.

Rossouw said one critical patient was airlifted to hospital for further treatment and another patient who sustained minor injuries who transported to hospital by ER24.

The exact details to the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation.
