Man wanted on fourteen warrants of arrest appeared in court

A man who is facing 14 fraud charges appeared in the Cape Town Magistrate Court where his case was postponed and he was remanded in custody. 

The suspect 39-year-old Ian Heunis from Manenberg faces charges relating to vehicles he had bought at car dealers using fake cheques. 

Captain FC van Wyk said Ian Heunis appeared in court on 26 January 2015.

Van Wyk said the case was postponed to 17 March 2015 and he was remanded in custody while the investigation continued.

“Veteran detective based at the Cape Town Central Police Station arrested Heunis recently at a Manenberg house Van Wyk added.
