Cape Town Mayor Patricia de Lille while addressing the full council on Wednesday said she wants to have a dialogue about racial issues in Cape Town.

She announced the Mayor’s Inclusive City campaign.

Mayor De Lille will be putting together a framework for the dialogue and further details will be released next month.

"I want to create a platform where we can address these difficulty issues in our city and confront what makes some people feel excluders and other people feel entitled,” De Lille said.

She also said that this campaign will be an action of reconciliation allowing us to confront divisions to strengthen our mission to create a united future.
