The Congress of South African Trade Union in the North West has threatened mass action against non-compliant security companies.

Cosatu alleges that some security companies are ill-treating their workers and not paying them.  Cosatu’s Solly Phetoe said workers should not keep quiet when they are being treated badly by bosses.

Phetoe said we calling on the Department of labour to do a full inspection on those matters, second is the Department of Education, Health and Agriculture must demand full compliance of those security companies and make sure that by the end of this week Friday or next week Friday that all workers who have not been paid must be paid.

“Cosatu is compiling a list of security companies to name and shame those who haven’t paid workers” Phetoe added.
