The Inkatha Freedom Party in KwaZulu Natal calls on private sectors and people to help improve facilities for disadvantaged learners.

IFP Spokesperson on Education Thembeni kaMadlopha-Mthethwa said the use of information and communication technology in education can be of major benefit not only in teaching and learning but also in enhancing administration processes.

Thembeni kaMadlopha-Mthethwa said equipment such as laptops, cellphones and even infrastructure can be of great use in disadvantaged schools.

Mthethwa added that the deficiency of this equipment leads to a lower pass rate for students in deep rural areas whereas learners in urban areas pass rate was higher in subjects like Mathematics ,Physical Science and Technology.
