The Inkatha Freedom Party in KwaZulu Natal calls
on private sectors and people to help improve facilities for disadvantaged learners.
IFP Spokesperson on Education Thembeni
kaMadlopha-Mthethwa said the use of information and communication technology in
education can be of major benefit not only in teaching and learning but also in
enhancing administration processes.
Thembeni kaMadlopha-Mthethwa said equipment
such as laptops, cellphones and even infrastructure can be of great use in
disadvantaged schools.
Mthethwa added that the deficiency of this
equipment leads to a lower pass rate for students in deep rural areas whereas
learners in urban areas pass rate was higher in subjects like Mathematics
,Physical Science and Technology.
