Seven people killed in W Cape head on collision

An accident this morning on the N-1 at Touws River left seven people dead including three children and 11 others were injured.

The exact details to the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation.

Provincial Emergency Services Spokesperson Robert Daniels said the bus was travelling in the direction of Cape Town on Monday night when the taxi swerved into its lane.

Daniels said the bus was in the middle lane and there was another vehicle, a taxi on the far-left lane.

Daniels said all of a sudden, the taxi turned right in front of the bus to take the turn-off to Ceres.

Daniels said the bus then collided with the taxi and went right over the taxi.

Daniels said three children and four adults died in this accident,” says Africa.

Daniels said the injured passengers have been taken to Worcester Hospital.

“Police are investigating the incident Daniels added.
